Oh yeah, this sounds familiar. I seem to recall this happening more than a
few times here as well...

Why?

Okay, I do believe I have one for the "Dumb Things" thread here.

A while back (a year or more ago), two of the PC's were taking a cab from
point A to point B in the Chicago sprawl(mess) area. The two were a troll
(Atlas) and a female elf (Mara). The troll took up the entire back seat, so
the elf had to sit in front with the driver.

Well along the way, the female elf *happened* to notice that the driver (not
only being cliche foreigner with a bad accent) was also getting highly aroused
by the presence of the incredibly foxy lady (she did have a 6+ Charisma). The
problem was however, that the woman was in a particularly nasty mood *AND* a
lesbian to boot. She got incredibly insulted, so much so that she pulls her
shotgun/pistol thing (customized job) and procedes to waste the guy post-hoc.

The next thing the two know (the Troll was flabbergasted and stunned by what
happened), their cab is veering all over the place on the interstate (anyone
who has been on the Kennedy going parallel to downtown can just imagine the
fun).

The troll is screaming/cursing the woman to try and gain control of the cab,
the woman is screaming/cursing at the troll to get rid of the body to make
room for her to get control of the cab. Troll grabs the guy, and procedes to
whirl him out the door.

Enter the nice, unsuspecting, family van that was trying to stay clear of the
lunatic cab driver (even if he *was* dead). The body wings out the door,
lands on the hood, and the van goes nuts (hey, Average-Guy (TM) doesn't make
crash tests if the GM doesn't want them too ;), and then procedes to turn the
entire Kennedy into a free-for-all (TM).

One van over the edge of the overpass, two cars into the median, another one
slides into the opposing traffic lane after slamming through the bunker.

The cab gets out of the area, and they ditch the car of course, but, being in
such a massive hurry, they fail to check the thing for any traces of
themselves. The elf is a shaman, who does use Sterilize, but they do nothing
else.

Next thing everyone knows, the two's faces are all over the midwest's news
reels (gotta hate the cab's internal camera), scene shots of the Arab's family
in turns/outrage and this incredible travesty. Anti-Metahuman groups are
taking advantage of the situation of course. The cab company (Yellow of
course ;) is offering a reward, as is the Governor's Office.

THEN, to make matters worse, it was right after this that the group get's
involved in "the Ubir Hunt" up and down the Illinois River, winding up working
in loose-tandem with the National Guard. Sure, they all eventually become
Heroes of the Day (TM), but not until someone else notices ... "hey, haven't I
seen your face on the trid???" Yep, the classy nature of PC's having "a ride
to the airport"....

I think by the time this was all over, nobody could stop laughing at the two
players (including themselves) for the entirety of the mess. And *that*
didn't even include the other Shaman's TK Blast spell going off in a trailer
park (oh yeah, things were just joyous back in those days).
