In Germany a Shadowrun novel trilogy is being published. In the
first book the main character finds retreat from elven hitmen in
an underground city, which is a dwarven kingdom (can't remember the
name) that existed for thousands of years. This Huge Kaer is
located in\under the Rhein-Ruhr-Megasprawl and can be entered through
the old coal mines.
So this might give you something to think about.

Interesting! It sounds as if Shadowrun is very popular in
Germany...is that a valid assumption?
Might be worth asking the DLoH if it's going to be translated
into English. Do you remember the title?

The first Volume is called #Das Zerissene Land# (The Torn Country).
But I can't remember the name of the trilogy.
Yes, indeed, Shadowrun is very popular in Germany. In a recent poll it was
the socond most favorite rpg in Germany. Therefore german authors wrote
the Germany Source Book and the novels. I guess the novelswill be translated
to English in some time.
