Well apart from all the magical ways listed to stop a nuke it is clearly
obvious this guy has never played Cthulhu. I think the description of Cthulhu
says something like "If you can kill him he goes to another dimension for 5
mins then comes back really mad, if you can somehow get to that dimension and
kill him then he goes to a different one where only the great old ones / gods
can go, then he comes back at full strength in 10 mins" In other words there
is no way to kill Cthulhu only ways to slow him down. The same probably applies
to horrors.

No, I've never Played Cthulhu. Yes, I do know about it. This has
NOTHING to do with Cthulhu! Cthulhu is an Old One (I think, I don't
know *that* much about it), something akin to a god, except more
powerful. That's not what a horror is. A horror can be very weak or very
powerful. They are tough, Verjigorm has a hobby of hunting down Great
Dragons, but can be destroyed. The reason they were so deadly is their
numbers and the fact that using Raw magic( the way Shadowrun mages and
shamans do it) attracts their attention like a flare gun and they can
pop up right there.
No I wouldn't use a nuke on Cthulhu, I would run very far, very fast.
But, in addition to everything else, Chantrel's Horror doesn't have the
power to stop a nuke. I'm not even sure Verjigorm does, but it's best to
play it safe and assume he does. If anyone would like to continue
discussing EarthDawn, I'd be very happy if you would contact me
privately in E-mail.
