I thought it was because street sams are so much tougher than deckers
to beat up, although some of my shadier characters have mulled over
selling the parts from people they kill.

Count yourself luck then. Selling parts to a chop shop is my runners
primary means of making money. Time was, they could get double the
income of the run by selling off the opposition.

I tried using non-cybered opposition (cakewalk), magical opposition
(devstating), social consequences (they dealt with it or were more
discrete). Thus far, well-trained dogs have been my most effective
opposition.

The primary complaint about SR4 is not the new mechanics, not the
"blurring" of hemetics/shamanics, not the wireless bone lacing, and not
even the cunky california geography nor the disconnect between a global
matrix crash and the decision to rely MORE on the matrix.

Nope, my players are bothered that cyber is now cheaper, so their 10%
cut from the chop shop is worth a lot less.

Isn't that what a Tamanous contact is for? Not only can they dispose of
pesky corpses and / or witnesses, but your runners can even turn a profit
from the exchange. Everyone benefits (except for the poor slots on the slab,
of course...)
