I finally got a copy of the Shadowrun Companion a couple days ago (yes I
know I'm about four months behind. Just one of the joys of living in
Alaska) and I'm now trying to build a character with some edges and flaws
when I hit a snag. I have a char. that has the the low point amnesia flaw
and I was going to give him flashbacks. But the flashbacks I want to give
him and the flashbacks as they are written are worlds apart. What I want
to know is, has anyone written a lower point cost version of flashbacks? I
have my own two point version, but I'd like to see what other things
people have come up with if any. If anyone wants me to send them (or post
to the list) my version of flashbacks I'll be happy to do so.

Mike D.

P.S. Sorry if this came up over the summer but I wasn't on the list.
If it did just point me in the direction of the archives.

I give my players the option of choosing the existing flashbacks or using
the phobia tables to determine severity and penalties etc. It's just that
they are recalling things, not actually terrified. In other words, if they
get a low point flashback(phobia) then they are at +1 to all target numbers
while around the trigger. This is not a phobia, just being distracted my
memories. Then, if they choose the most severe one, instead of running
away in terror, they stand still while their memories completely consume
them.

NightRain.
