My knowledge of the Earthdawn storyline is...ok...but I've a question for
your crossover gurus.

What is a "horror mark"? What happens to people when
they are marked? What benefits does the horror get by marking people? HOW
does a horror mark somebody?

I'm trying to set up a ED-Shadowrun crossover event in my Shadowrun
storyline but need a little extra knowledge to do it right!

Thanks!

A Horror mark is basically when a horror weaves a thread to a person,
connecting itself to a person (this is a simplified explanation :). The
horror mark allows the Horror to use it's power on the person and people
around the person, no matter where the horror is. In ED, IIRC, a horror
mark occurs when the Horror makes a spellcasting test against the person's
spell defense...In SR, I'd assume it would be a sorcery or something test
against a PC's willpower.

Amazingly enough, our band of intrepid shadowrunners have just returned
from a quick jaunt back through time to Parlainth...

Our GM was treating a horror mark as equivalent to shadowruns 'cursed
karma' for identification astrally.

Otherwise, much as Maelwy said.

BTW, it's a real downer being a decker in Barsaive, chummer :(
