And another thing.. in BT aren't some inner sphere people decendents
of countrys that no longer exist? But you.... BT and SR are definitly
not the same universe :)

Who sez they continue to use the same calander as we use????
Afterall..If you think about it a little..A space faring culture
would probably end up changing all sorts of time measurements and
meanings...In an artificial environment day and night become
arbitrary..And then there is differing -day- lengths on different
planets..More than likely a change to a non-adjusting calander would
most likely be in order..No more leap year for the future..As for the
non-mention of Metas..Well perhaps they no longer believe what the
hist-books tell them..or perhaps this info was changed for some
reason in the hist-books..as we all know this is done on a regular
basis..and then there is the differing opinions of what
happened...[ie American Revolution- US view = patriots throwing off
an evil regime UK view = Upstart criminal types attempting to subvert
a rightful rule]..But I wander...It could still be the same
universe..For that matter They could be different earths in the same
universe...

The compendium for starters.

Why would you do all of that? Granted, a day becomes more dependant
on your environment, but you would still measure time in Earth years.
Nevermind that Star Leauge was based on Earth. Why would they use
another world's time measurements on Earth?????

So The Compendium specifically states the same calander in force
today is still in use that far in the furture...Then I would suppose
it would necessarily have to be a paralel dimension...

Because our current methods of counting days/weeks/months/years is a
little inefficient..And awkward to say the least...Afterall we have
to have an extra day added to the calander every 4 years...Not a very
precise system...

Perhaps because it is more efficient....But I am not contending this
has in fact happened..simply putting forth a possibility...

Why not..It has been said that the Universe is so large that -all-
things are possible withing it....
Perhaps it would be a mirror galaxy....

I think something as important as a new time system would have made
it into the timeline... Don't you? :)

Perhaps yes..Perhaps no..Afterall somebods said it was 1000 years
into our future..Perhaps it something that has been for so long that
nobody even thinks about it..Afterall, who developed our current
calender?? And how many others are still being used currently..not to
mention how many have gone out of use....I can think of 3 current
calanders off hand..and with a little digging I am certain a few more
might surface...Standard [this is the year 1997] Chinese [I have no
idea when it is ] Jewish [ It is somewhere in between the years 5000
and 6000 I believe].....
