Considering that I did develop the spell formula myself and included such
things like limited range to keep the drain down, I chose to convert it to a
powerbolt since I have no manipulation foci and never intended it to be a
manipulation spell, I just through on the lightning elemental effect to show
a little flare since it was possible in SR2.

I also agree that it makes more sense and clears some arguments up but
gee...no more hellblast :) It was always fun watching those Knight Errant
guards cook inside there armor :)

On another note, Does anyone see any problems with the Bug Barrier spell the
way it's designed being an astral barrier and all. Should it be a physical
barrier now to better work in SR3? I see it's not in SR3 or mits along with
a few other awakening spells like Disregard.
