Can you use the Enhanced Aim spell to reduce the TN for an Elemental
Manipulation spell? In the description of Elemental Manipulation
spells it says they are Ranged Attacks and Enhanced Aim reduces TNs
for Ranged Attacks. Also I see under the Combat Pool description (SR3
p.44) that you can ONLY use Combat Pool to augment or resist Elemental
Manipulation spells, does anyone do this? It seem to me you could use
your Combat Pool to boost the attack dice and then use Spell Pool for
drain, effectively doubling your Spell Pool for these spells. Not to
mention Combat Pools are usually larger than Spell Pools.

No, you can't use your combat pool dice for a damaging manipulation spell
because, even though it resembles very strongly ranged combat, it is still
casting a spell. Only sorcery and magic pool dice are available for that.

Yes, you can use enhance aim to reduce the target number for a damaging
manipulation spell. However, since enhance aim is a sustained spell
you'll suffer the +2 target modifier for sustaining it. Unless, of
course, you have a sustaining focus or you conjure an elemental to take
care of it.

In SR3 p.183 says'' Elemental manipulation spells are treated LIKE
normal ranged attacks using sorcery as the Ranged combat skill. Spell
pool can be added as normal.''
So it is obvious that you cannot use combat pool dice on spellcasting.
The operative word LIKE could function as an impediment for your
argument but if I was asked to rule on that as a GM I would grant you
that Enhance Aim can reduce TN for EM spells and grant you at least
3 Karma for the thought.

Great thinking kiddo!

For the +2 sustaining modifier try centering.
If you 're feeling like munchkinizing some more, think of that:
The spell does n't mention that it cannot be combined with other spells
like it. Try two or three enhance aim spells together in sustaining foci
or combine with all the apropriate vision enhancements. Perpetual TN
