I see you are using Eudora 5.0 beta. I'm still using 4.3.2, but I've been
a happy Eudora user for many years and plan to upgrade soon. Eudora has a
very customizable interface and you can edit the .ini file to change all
kinds of behaviors. I still change the sender's name in "At <time/date>
you wrote:" reply header manually, but I imagine there is somewhere in the
configuration to change that. Eudora also has unsurpassed filtering,
nested mailboxes, and supports HTML mail, multiple mail ID's, each with
multiple aliases and .sig files. It's free if you don't mind a little ad
box down in the corner, but the paid-mode version is reasonably priced for
the power and flexibility it offers.

In eudora.ini, add the line:

ReplyAttribution=At %1, %2 wrote:

You can play with the variables to produce different results - it's in the
help file.

I was using Eudora for quite a while and was very happy with it. I
purchased 4.1 in the stores and upgraded recently. Soon after that I began
to desire the ability to use HTML in mail. I know I could change font
color and use bold, italics, and underlined text... but I couldn't figure
out how to use background colors and background images.

I have sadly left Eudora for Outlook.. but would go back in a second if I
could get full HTML functionality...
