How about a Focus which adds dice to enchanting tests? It seems such a
natural item from an enchanter to have.

Design & manufacture stats the same as a power focus.

Any objections?

Yes. Totally muchkinous! :-)

Naw, I'm just kidding. Sounds like a good idea. Although it doesn't affect
magic, per se, it does affect enchanting magics.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

But that brings up a problem. Echanting is technically a skill. Wheras
spirit foci affect conjuring tests which bring in Elementals, enchanting
isn't really doing anything else but creating foci. No spells or base magic,
it's simply gathering the right materials into a focus to make it attuned to
specific (or not so specific int he form of Power foci) types of magic. But
weapon foci add to armed combat.. Dammit all, I'm confused! Maybe setting
it equal to the weapon focus for such task since the magic is inhernet and
karmic rather than active?

Enchanting is a magical proccess which is drawn out over a long period of
time. It still requires a Magic Attribute to perform, so it is not entirely
like a skill. It has no drain because the enchanter is taking so long to let
the magical energies filter through him. I'd say an enchanting focus would
be akin to a Power Focus rather than a Weapon Focus, if it were possible.
But is it going to be possible? I mean, a focus for creating other foci?
It's like a having an elemental assist you in summoning another, or
designing a spell to help with spellcasting. I'm not so sure the very idea
makes sense.

I've done "Enchanting" foci before, but as part of unique foci. In my mind,
orichalcum and other acarna are "enchanting" foci.
