stuff for the past several months. Anyhoo, I was working on a
character (Unfortunately not for a game, I just like making characters
8-} ) and I decided to give him both a cyberarm and enhanced
articulation. Since it's been a while since I've used either of
those, I was rereading the rules, and came up with a bit of a
quandary.
This character has high quickness (at least 5, and I'm thinking of
giving him a couple levels of muscle toner to bring him up to Qui
7)... making a 'stock' cyberarm off-balance. And enhanced
articulation says that "The Reaction gain conferred by enhanced
articulation is lost if the character gains a Reaction bonus from
Quickness-enhanced cyberlimbs." But... what about just enough to
balance him back out? Keeping the inherent Qui 4 would, per the
Unbalanced Quickness rules, drop his reaction down to 4 (he has an Int
of 3, and his new 'average' Qui would be 6.25, or 6). Adding 3 levels
of Quickness Enhancement would bring his cyberarm back into balance
with his natural limbs, but it would also 'raise' his Reaction to 5.
So, basically what I'm wondering is, does the Reaction bonus to
enhanced articulation only cut out if the Reaction's actually been
*raised* by Quickness Enhancments, or even if it's just been restored
to normal?
