Not to be too much of a nit-picker, but since you're going deep into
the various meanings of of suffixes and prefixes, I thought it best to point
out that the word is "etymology", not "entymology." (The latter is
either a
mispelling of the former or of "entomology," the study of insects.)

However, Entymology could take on a whole new meaning in the world of
Shadowrun... a world where things like the Insect Spirits exist and are one
of the greatest threats mankind has ever known...

Hmmm.... Maybe you could call Insect Shamans Entomancers??

But, but, but I thought Entomancers were people who used Ents for
divination.....

Yeah, that was the general idea.

You're most welcome.

Yes, I did know that already. I would guess the FASA folk did, too,
but decided that cybermancy sounded too cool not to use it.

I'm glad SOMEONE caught it. It wasn't meant to be a misspelling (BTW,
you misspelled "misspelling," but it IS one of the most commonly
misspelled words in the English language, after all) of either word.
It was actually (a rather lame attempt at) a pun. I felt that my post
was, like yours, picking nits, and nits are insects. "Entymology" was
meant to be a synthesis of etymology and entomology. <gd&r>
