Here's something for the sci-fi movie fan, today marks the video re-release of
John Carpenter's "Escape, From New York." The director's special edition of
'Escape' has been digitally remastered and is available in letterbox form.

Last December, during interviews for his role of Wyatt Earp in "Tombstone,"
Kurt Russell went on record stating, "Escape From New York" was his favorite
movie 'of his own' to date. The 90's edition also contains footage omitted from
the original version.

The laser disc of 'Escape' should be out any day. It's a great independent
flick that stands up today.
