Thanx. The concept of a totally cybered mage really irked me. My mage
characters never go below 5.0 Essence; it's too dangerous. While I was
ranting, I never realized that the cyber he had put him down to -1
Essence; I think that it was Ivy who noticed.
Death to all Munchkins!!

I know what you mean about hard to handle. My mages always have
Smartlink and R3 Optical Vis. Mag. so all firearms combat is based on a T#
of 2. The guy who plays the swedish decker GM's when I play and I imagine
he has a tough time with my mages. My previous mage quickened Personal
Combat Sense using elementals and the whole nine yards. His combat pool
came out to a 15, I think; some of the shots he was making were quite
gross.
Was that mage from your 350 group? If not, I would have liked to have
seen her make the roll; Inc. Cybered has some pretty nasty drain. She
should have locked the spell before getting the W.Reflexes installed. It
would have taken a lot of forethought but I do that with my characters are
all about: tactics, role-playing and forethought. Their karma and nuyen
allocations (wish lists) are usually planed a good year in advance.
Unfortunately, they don't get too disgusting because I try to run strictly
to character. My Bard is from the Gwynedd militia so since they prefer
wasting property to civilians, I ran my Bard along the same lines (eg.
Stun Missile instead of Mana/Power Missile, clips of Gel Rounds and Taser
weapons, etc.). It can get restrictive but it creates a real personality
(I even have an accent for him (I'm studying my Celtic ancestry so I'm
learning to speak Cymraeg(Welsh)) and use many Welsh words in play). Hell
of a lot a fun!!
