While the discussion about essence has been going on and how cyber implants
affect mages etc, someone menitoned that it is the dna that gives a mage his
or her particular magical abilities. I'll expand on that (though I'm no street
doc):

What if the gene or section of DNA which gives magical ability could be found
and genetically enginereed into a fetus, or even better into any donor sperm.
Now how about placing the bioware in the fetus at the same stage, I haven't
had chance to get shadowtech yet so I don't know what type of stuff should be
possible, but it should be possible to be able to put special stimulant glands
for more initiative or drain resistors etc.

Using this method the child would grow with the bioware as an integral part of
itself so there should be no essence loss at all.

Expanding this still further, wouldn't it be interesting if some shady
corporation has been doing this kinda research for last 20 or so years, and
prototype numero uno is about to hit the streets (kind of a super Company
Mage).
