Having spent the last week sick I got to watch a LOT of movies.
One that I highly reccomend is Woody Allen's "Everyone Says I Love You"

Aside from being a fun flick to watch, it also gave me a couple ideas for
SR.

In the film, the daughter of a wealthy NYC lawyer falls for a convicted
felon.
The crook really turns on the charm, and wins the girls' heart, only to use
her as "cover" for a later heist.
This set my mind to pondering similar possibilities in the Sixth World.

Most high ranking Corp Suits are going to be housed in corp enclaves, which
are hell for runners to break into.
However, some of these suits must have kids who would be quite flattered to
be hit on at a club by all those Charisma 8 Elf runners out there, or even
just some high charisma con-men.

Maybe security would stop the runner trying to sneak in the corp enclave,
but odds are they won't be as thorough checking out Muffy's new boy-toy when
they pull up in her Beemer.

The possibilities are quite large, aside from simply using Muffy as a way
into restricted corp property, there is the notion that an accomplished
"Casanova" could easily move from corp to corp working as a cat burglar -
seducing lonely housewives and daughters, only to rip them off and then
bail.

Might make for a fun PC.

I agree. However, it would be hard to work into a game. I mean,
have the char. 8 elf putting the swerve on Muffy would make a boring(if
not mushy) gaming session. However, it does have the makins of a good
sub-plot, or maybe even a story.

Heh..not necessairly, it all depends on your PCs. I used to have
2 players, who would compete to pick up girls. (Even more fun if
one was in the PC's party). I've spent over an hour in the bar scene
and we were ROTFL most of the time. Then again, these two were
nuts.

I don;t agree. Some os the best gaming sessions we've ever had were
straight RP sessions and nights out on the town... It's amazing how much
fun a Mosh Pit can be (Hell, The Grinch and Dvixen keep bugging me to runa
follow up to that via IRC:)) or even a Strip contest...

A lot of the personality and background that Bull has developed over the
years has come from sessions like these, and i feel sorry for players who
don;t enjoy or get into them, or GMs who don't like to run them...

We too have used similar strategies with past characters, most
particularly a character of mine (an ex-joygirl who fully understood how
sex can be used as a weapon) and Hudson, a character of Hamish's (for
those of you who remember Hamish :), an incurable womaniser.

One particularly memorable run involved our team being hired to track
down and steal every piece of a very valuable and rare jewellery set.
We'd acquired most of the pieces, apart from one brooch which was in the
possession of a simsense starlet... who was coming to Seattle for a
tour. :)

We wangled team invites (so handy when your fixer owns the club the
party is at) to the big promo party and Hudson uses all his Charisma
(aren't Tailored Pheromones wonderful? :) to pick this starlet up... the
natural thing occurred, and Hudson was ensconsed with the starlet in her
hotel suite after the party...

... picture the scene. Hudson and starlet, nekkid, on the hotel bed.
Starlet's bodyguards in next room trying to look nonchalant. Team of
enemy runners break in from ensuite bathroom (the poor sods had all been
hiding in the shower for about an hour) and proceed to cause much havoc.
:)

In the chaos, Hudson managed to swipe the brooch (you don't want to know
where he hid it) and threw one of the bad guys out the window, so he
could say "Oh, he must have taken the brooch".

It wouldn't have been so bad, but Hudson (after sending the brooch to
the Johnson) continued to see the starlet until she left Seattle. :)

Here I disagree; as far as I"m concerned, all the best Shadowrun
sessions I've had have been heavy roleplaying - picking up people
useful for your job, making friends, partying with other
Shadowrunners...

"sub-plot" indeed... *sigh*

Bull, you are completly right :)
I`m looking forward to it too.

Real understanding of one`s char comes only from such play.
