Ok let's have'em. I know they're out there. I want to hear about vampires
stalking and tormenting players. Free Spirits driving characters insane
with control spells and illusions. Think Blair Witch 2 type stuff.

Here's the nastiest evil trick you can play on them: give them realistic
consequences for their actions.

Walk around lit up like a christmas tree with spells and foci? There are
free spirits that'll pop those spells and foci just for kicks.
Walk around with an assault cannon in Redmond? Get shot by gangers from
behind for the ordinance.
Walk around carrying an expensive deck? Get mugged.
Drive around in an armoured-to-hell vehicle in Bellevue? The Star'll be
keeping a close eye on you even if they don't pick you up on GP.

Those aren't nasty GM tricks, those are playing SR with a sense of some
realism. Most (not all) runners allready know not to do stupid things like
that, despite what you read in the CLUE files :)

There's an idea.

Make the runners go to a meet with a Johnson in a
movie theatre, where they're playing Blair Witch
9...or Rocky 20...or The Brady Bunch 15...or something
like that. :)

In that case, better make it a ghoul.

Well, the PC in question didn't have a vampire for a mother-in-law. He had
a vampire for an ex-wife. And he was still in love with her; she only
divorced him because he couldn't keep his dick in his pants around his
secretary (which is also why he turned to the shadows; she had a vicious
divorce lawyer and he was trying to escape from alimony payments).

He didn't want to kill her.

Well, as I understood it, the original intent of this thread was to make a
list of things actually done to PCs, not something that could be done to
them. I've actually given a PC a vampire ex-wife.

They don't have to drink blood to drain Essence; there just needs to be a
heightened emotional state. The blood is symbolic.
