How does explosive ammo figure into damage codes?

I know it adds 1 to the power of the weapon. (i.e. 9M heavy pistol loaded
with explosive does 10M)

But what does it do in burst or autofire? +1 to each bullet or +1 to the
end damage code? (i.e. Ingram Smartgun (7M) fires a burst (normally 10S) but
uses explosive ammo...is it 11S or 13S?)

Well, it would take your 7M SMG to 8M, which if then fired at burst rates
receives +3 Power, for a final result of 11S.

I add the +1 after adjusting it for the burst: a 7M SMG firing 3 rounds does
11S in my game.
