What about lightweight FABsuits? Mageboy goes astral, slips on the suit, and
for all intents has a physical form that can fly and move extremely quickly.
Also, in a gunfight, the worst thing that could happen to the mage is their
fat bacteria channels get ruptured and their suit falls off.

It still requires nutrients in order to function. Not to mention you would
probably have to gengineer the bacteria for a long lifespan.

One idea is to have a specialized nanite hive. We'll call them "tugboats".
The subject has gene therapy to modify either their natural intestional
bacteria or have regular "infections" of FAB bacteria. The tugboat nanites
then seek out these bacteria through various chemical tags and then move
them around the body.

Obviously this would still open up the serious questions or aura
interactions for dual natured beings. It could be quite possible that
injecting dual natured lifeforms is impossible - their auras will repel each
other. Somehow activating dual natured auras inside another body might
result in the objects separating...very messily. The effects could be
similar to the nitrogen narcosis as the bacteria work themselves "away" from
the aura.

In fact, for consistency I'd go so far to say that generally encasing two
auras in this manner is not possible. They could be "on top" of each other
but not intersecting. Might be interesting as a bioweapon though. Have some
new FAB variety only activate its active properties upon exposure to some
hormone in the human body. Poor joe shmoe breathes this stuff in, it
activates. The gibs fly.

Interesting concept. I'm still interested in the idea of FAB keyboards and
the like so that astral mages and the like could interact with objects. It
would even make a really interesting security system in a mage-only
facility. What's that? Can't see where the elevator buttons are? Too bad
chummer.

Could you please check your mailer and its date settings? I sort by date
and yours are always out of whack.

Thanks.
