Can you project when you have dissentry? I think you can, and amoebas are
quite big, almost visible with the naked eye. Possibly the living aura has
to be outside of your own, or else the bacteria/whatever gets its astral
body pulled out with yours, maybe. This isn't a fact. Mind you, I think that
having dissentry would be the best possible time to be outside your body,
but not nasally pleasant for whoever is watching over your body.
Hmm, then again just think if the mage down the barrens tries to project
after drinking the water and can't... Imagine the mage trying to return to
their body but there is a amoebal infestation in their large intestine and
they are stuck outside...

Aren't most nanites larger then bacteria (which are very large at the sort
of scale we're talking about).

Plus how do you propose to keep the bacteria alive encased in a nanite?
Wouldn't doing so essentially "hide" the bacterias astral signature inside
the "casing" of the nanite. IE You can't visibly target someones aura inside
a vehicle, why would the astral bacteria extend outside of its carrier?

A better idea would be gengineering your intestional bacteria to have
FAB-style mana dampening properties. Ah the wonders of gene therapy eh?

Ah, the one nasty project listing that Mongoose, AE, and I worked on last
fall. Gads, the nightmares we thought of ....

Do that, it'll give me time to put up additional defenses... ;-P

Probably yes, but NOT all of them, no.

It would all be a matter of design and perspective Ken. You would be
creating, in effect, a carrier. For instance, I believe we called the
"Faberands" last fall, or at least I did. You take a "carcerand",
place a
nanite on the one side of it to act as a 'gatekeeper' for the carcerand, it
will control and regulate the interior contents ... which in this case could
be any one of the varieties of FAB.

Geesh, just remembering this stuff makes me think of new nightmares to make
above and beyond what was discussed last fall.

Yes, you could do that and augment the concept of 'Faberands' that we had in
fact, completely removing the need/necessity for occasional replenishment
injections.
