Hello, everybody, I think I'm in love

Last night's session brought an Mossberg Combat Shotgut to my horizon.
Friend of mine picked it up and brought it along to our run.

I have to admit, that shotguns didn't stand high on my list of favourite
weapons...until last night.

He pulled the trigger and I never was so happy that the weapon was not
pointed at my character.

Burstfire. 3 Shots. Damage Code was 7S (or something like this) goes up
to 10D. The Samurai (who was the unfortunated target) didn't look so
happy.

So: Kids! Don't do this at home. This weapon is a real KILLER. If you
see someone with this weapon and it's not someone you usually call
'friend' 'buddy' 'chummer', etc. you better start running NOW!

Hope it will save some (imagined) lifes (the right ones)

I have a friend who was in the US Air Force. He asked a MP one time why they
used shotguns so much in their duties. He was told that no other sound made
by a waepon was as distinct as the sound of a shotgun chambering a round.
Definitely made the [criminal/target] take notice and move very slowly.
My absolute favorite tho is a sawed off over-under (double barreled).
Think about the spread pattern....*grin*

Hope I never will encounter one for real. Won't be a pleasant experience.
BTW, my character is a Cat-shamane with Mana Bolt 6. So, why use weapons
at all, when you can kill them without sweating (= mental damage). The
Draincode (F:2)S is a joke.
