How does a Vampire mage come about? That is a good question. On one
hand we have the Grimoire, saying that if your magic attribute ever hits
0 you become a mundane forever. And we have SRII saying that as your
Essence goes, so goes your Magic.

On the other hand we have SRII talking about how magical vampires are,
and one FASA-given example. (with a severely screwed-up Quickness
Attribute) so this would tend to lead one to think that, in one case at
least, Essence is not connected to Magic,

Or, because it is the nature of vampires to be magical (SRII again) it
may be that in that case only the victim regains their magic once the
change is complete.

Which leads to another question. Just how closely is their Essence tied
to their Magic? As they hunger and feed does their Magic rise and
fall along with their Essence? I should think that would lead to a
rather bizarre view on the world and extreme touchiness.
