Re: the comment about the Denver boxed set not making a Denverite
(Denverian?) scream and yell "Kill, Kill, Kill!"

I thought the Dallas/Fort Worth section in the NAGNA was pretty well done
(with the exception of turning Six Flags over Arlington into a
political/history park instead of leaving it an amusement park). Yep,
those fourteen or so pages in my copy of the NAGNA are about to fall out
from overreadding.

Anyone from Quebec, Atlanta, NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, or Washington
have anything to say about how thier cities are portrayed in 2053? (That's
when NAGNA is set I think.)

I think the NAGAN's version of San Francisco is better than the Cal Free
sourcebook, as brief as it was. My campaign is set here (in the Bay Area)
and I don't use any of the published material though, except for the
Japanese occupation. It's mostly stuff (history, economy, politics) that I
have developed on my own. My players seem to like what I've done.

Sort of off topic, but has anyone ever set up an informal resource network
so that gm's and players can ask natives for info about their home areas?
This would be great if you need some background feel for an area but have
never been there. Just curious.

Over on NERPS we've been trying to write a Neo-A Guide To The World
(NAGTTW) for some time now. It should talk mostly about areas FASA hasn't
touched yet, and an idea I had the other day involves someone with
(almost) all the sourcebooks doing some research and setting up a list of
which country is mentioned where, so GMs can have an easy reference when
they're trying to find FASA material about a place.

Sascha, you seem like the ideal candidate for this :)

Not that I know of. But, if anyone has questions about Denver, feel
free to ask me.

Heh. Interesting. Makes me wonder if SR players will ever need info
on western North Carolina. :)

Well, not sure if this has been stated yet, as I missed the last few days
worth of mail, but...

The current NERPS project is the Neo-Anarchists Guide to the World, which
is basically a write up of everybosy on the NERPS lists home town and/or
country...

So in effect, it's what you were asking for,,,:]

Oh, yes, I've seen some references to that.

I was kinda making a joke, really. There's not much out here that
would be much for SR. Unless there are awakened inbred yokels in the
Appalachians, or something. :)

I live near Chicago, kinda, so if anyone is planning a run into Chicago, I
might be able to help. Actually we were sitting around and figured Ottawa,
my home town, would be a pretty good staging ground for runs into Chicago.
Almost a Haven/Parlainth (from ED) situation. And besides, there's lots of
bars here, so plenty of places to set up meets, etc. :)

Is that Ottawa, Illinois? I can't think of any other Ottawa's in the
area of Chicago. If so, what part of Ottawa are you from? I used to live in
Bona Terra, up by I-80. Honestly never thought I'd ever hear of anyone else
from that area. But more to your point about it being a staging area for the
Chicago area, I don't think it would work too well. You are a good 1 1/2-2
hours away from downtown. That and poeple in Ottawa would notice things like
people running around with large amounts of cash, which runners usually
accumulate. The town's too small to just blend into the background, IMHO. But
it might change by the 2050's.

Erg. I like to write, but I don't think a sourcebook would be
something I'd be good at. I'll happily provide info to those in need
of it, however.
