Yeah. I came upon that page the last time I read it. Don't remember which,
though, sorry. But it's near that "I am awake.." statement. Um...somewhere
in the beginning of the matrix chapter I think. In the lower right corner of
a right page. (Just a weak flashback)

Fastjack IS the best, isn't he?

I thought Dodger was the best.

I think you are both correct. Each prime decker (or any other runner) has
their strengths and weaknesses, and when you get as good as these guys are,
the rest of us are just children. Speak for myself I know.

With almost no shadow of a doubt, the Nexus deckers, of which FastJack
seems to be the baddest, are the best deckers in the land. Dodger was
merely a VERY good decker. Then he met up with someone who is so good,
terms of quality don't really apply to her. I get the feeling that most of
what Dodger is doing after the initial series is working with her...

I never thought of FJ as being one of the Nexus bunch. I always took him for
some guy operating on his own out of Denver proper (as far as that exists in
the 2050s :)

I don't remember exactly where...maybe the denver book, maybe in one of
the books (_Night's Pawn_?) there was a comment that Fastjack and Shiva
were amung the _founders_ of the Nexus. I did get the impression that
Fatjack is not that closely tied with them anymore...

What's worse? Admiring some techy geek with a keyboard and a wire or two
alien puppets that follow orthodox econofunkianity?

To me, FastJack seems to know too much about, and have too much weight
with the Nexus organisation NOT to be a part of it. But he's probably
semi-independent, at least.
