No, not in current optic fibres whether they could produce something
to give the desired effect in 2053 I really don't know.

It might be possible if the optic cables used were rigid with mirrors at
any joints, if you could keep the mirrors aligned and have joints at
close intervals, say every centimetre, I don't see why not. Also this
would make them rather expensive but I think they might be worthwile for
the corps. They also be less flexible.
