I have only three recommendations :)

Blade Runner (director's cut if possible) for setting the tone of Shadowrun.
Sneakers and Ronin for demonstrating how a team of runners should operate.

I'd have to agree on Ronin. If you can only give them one movie to watch,
Ronin is it. It's just the best possible depiction of a team of runners -
tentative friendships, a whole lot of paranoia, and absolutely no details
about your job other than exactly what tasks you have to carry out. It
depicts the feel of the interpersonal interactions in a way that would
otherwise be almost impossible to describe. Heat (with De Niro, Pacino,
etc) is also a good one.

Sneakers is okay if you run a 'friendly' game, with less paranoia and
closer team relationships. In that case I'd also recommend The Real McCoy,
The Big Hit, the Die Hard series (for the operations of the criminals, not
the hero), The Saint (for solo operatives), and maybe Mission: Impossible.

In terms of world feel and tone, I'd say... umm... well, personally I think
Blade Runner is the result of a horrible acid trip, and a waste of time.
It's tolerable, but I'm not impressed. If you ahve to show them that, at
least round it out with:
* Strange Days (nuff said. It's Shadowrun on film, minus the magic)
* Dark Angel (the TV series. Someone on the writing team must be a SR fan)
* Johnny Mnemonic (with the caveat to fast-forward through any bits where
Keanu's actually talking)
* Ghost in the Shell/Kokaku Kidotai (still a bit 'off' in terms of feel,
though)
* Escape from NY/LA (gives you a feel of a Z-zone, at any rate)
