Speaking of William Gibson and his work, I'd highly recommend _Idoru_ as
well; it'd be especially helpful if you'd like to get into the media end
of things in SR, but it has some wonderful city descriptions, organized
crime, government corruption, corporate security, and some material that
you could use in the Matrix. Colin Laney sounds like an Otaku that
doesn't realize he's Otaku-ing with the way he finds "nodal points"...
and perhaps most importantly, _Idoru_ has funny looking French research
scientists.

So _Idoru_ is good stuff for SR inspiration...
