Flamethrowers are Nasty weapons...
The backpack contains three seconds worth of fuel, pressurised
with Nitrogen gas. The fuel is piped down to the handgrip/
ignitor and can be sprayed either lit or unlit

Gelled fuel <napalm= napthalene and palm oil>
range about 60m
Unthickened fuel < normal petrol >
range about 35m tops

the flamethrower can do quick bursts (simple action) that hit an
area a few metres across. this will cover anyone hit full on
with napalm and they'll Burn
<1/2 second of fuel>
6M sounds about right, apply skill=gunnery? success to it the
first round, as better shots cover more of the target with
napalm and so they get worse burns.
Each round after (or every 10 phases if you're Nasty) they take
Another 6M from the burns.
Armour does Not protect unless fully sealed and heat proofed.
(Fully sealed gives you 1rd till the seals go and you take
damage)
While burning, NO ACTIONS are possible except scream (BAD
IDEA=inhaling burning vapour!) stumble or roll around.
(Roll Bod or Wil, TN10 to not scream IF you have military /
burns experience and know what'll happen if you do)
Burning lasts for 3 rds <napalm> or 2rds <unthickened>

Sweep across an area/crowd (Complex action) allows a much larger
area to be covered.
<second of fuel>
Perfect for 'fire suppresion'...no ones mad enough to rush a
cloud of flaming napalm...

Rules for Tn modifiers to hit with an area weapon are best
handled cimematically, as is size of area covered and effects on
those hit.

Called shot to the flamethrower! with HE bullets or API this
will explode the tank hit and count as hitting the user with
these own flamethrower (as rules above)

Also these rules can be used to make improvised incenduarys like
petrol bombs...
But can you GET petrol (gasoline) in SRII? the cars are mostly
fuel alcohol and electric..
can you Drink fuel alcohol? its ethanol, but they usually have
mixed it with something foul tasting.

The best petrol bombs are 50/50 petrol/machine oil with
about 1" of aluminium dust in the bottle. Shake before throwing
to mix in the dust.
When thrown, it either breaks and ignites or doesn't break and
the wick burns down to the into the bottle and it explodes!

Also 5 drops of petrol in a bottle, allowed to vapourise and
fill the bottle with petrol vapor will explode when the bottle
breaks. Careful, this is approx=1/4 stick of Dynamite for a
litre bottle.
