I'm really dating myself here but I think in late 94 I was surfing
somebody from this list's web pages (Gurth's?) that had a nice little
blurb patterned after the SSC for a flamethrower (modern (i.e. 205*) as
opposed to legacy Soviet or American) of german make IIRC.
Plastic Warriors maybe? (I really pissed of my lab admin at the
time when I printed out the whole thing, all 100+ pages, at 1280x1024 res
at max quality on the printer that had $80 US-a-pop toner cartridges...the
next year they instituted individualized print charges, haha.)
Anyhow, yeah, the flamethrower is sadly lacking in SR. I was
sorta suprised they didn't include it in the FoF manual. Maybe there's
some BS explanation like a treaty banning "cruel" weapons (cf shotguns and
serrated knoves in WW1), but even then it would've made appearances in
non-treaty compliant places like most of Africa would be (cf.
CyberPirates).
