What exactly is this focus addiction that keeps wandering around.
Ihaven't gotten any of the really new sourcebooks yet so I probably just
missed it. Couldst one of thou enlighten and dazzle me with thy
knowledge, mayhaps?

Essentially, if you carry more foci + spell locks than you have points in
Magic Rating, and you start casting spells you could only cast with all
your toys, then roll 2d6. If the number is under your magic rating,
you're fine, if it's over, you lose a point of magic rating. If you lose
a second point, you start needing foci to cast any spell.

It's in "Awakenings". As a quick summary: if you use more foci ratings
than you've got Magic points, you're quite possibly screwed. :)

It's in Awakenings. Basically, if you have foci active, of a total rating
higher than your Magic Attribute, you stand a chance of becoming addicted
and getting a +2 modifier to all your magical TNs unless you have a focus
active that applies to the skill being used.

At least, unless the rules were significatnly changed between the NAGM and
Awakenings :)

Let me propose a interpertation. In Awakeings it says that when a mage fails
a roll for focus addiction against his magic rating he loses a magic point.
Now I assume the roll is made vs. his natural magic rating without power
foci. So when he blows it's against his natural rating not the higher rating
from foci which had been modified correct? What is the offical ruling one this.
