Me too - TN# 20 is just way too high.
Whoops: spell locks would count too - make that TN# 24 (5 times worse).

So, what sort of focus is relevant to Enchanting? I'd hate to have an
unfulfillable geas.
To cut out the +2 to Conjuring I'd have to get a couple of spirit foci,
which would be annoying.

A few thoughts (not having seen Awakenings) - where you said "... use foci
with a higher total rating ...", does that mean it only applies to *active*
foci? Is it treated like a normal geas in that you can make a Willpower
test on initiation to shed it?

Only for active foci, yes. You can own 20 Force 5 foci, but if your Magic
rating is 6 you can use any one of them at any time without having a
chance of addiction. Once you switch on two or more at the same time
you're in trouble...

Yes. But you can become addicted again if you fail your Magic test again.
You can ignore the foci-induced geas but then you can never become an
initiate.
