Here are my two cents for those who might care.

I happen to own the book . Anyway, Fontainebleau is something that I
think Croc (the french guy who wrote the first In Nomine game, the six or so
French members of the list probably heard about him) came up with. This guy
is sort of a French Darke.
The book is rich with ideas and a bit confusing at times because
several drafts were made by several authors, each building on what the last
one had come up with.
I doubt the France Sourcebook, should an English edition be made, would
be the same. Though the global concept needn't be changed ( France as an
oligarchy controlled equally by the druids and the Church and by powerful
and ridiculously wealthy noble families - among which the Villiers) and some
cool ideas ought to be kept (the ghoul realm in the catacombs beneath Paris
or the sinister Court of Miracles which controls organized crime in France.
Astral Space oddities) most French Sr fans love the ED/Sr crossover and thus
the stuff abounds which would probably give FASAMike a fit.
The Sourcebook is ripe with possible shadowruns and for French GMs
proved great fun, but frankly I seriously doubt it will ever become, even
partly, FASA cannon.
As a sidenote after reading Gurth's last post, I'd like to mention again
that there are NO vampire hunters in this book. This cheesy piece of work
was a gaming aid published in France's main RPG magazine. This was
already brought up in September in the Translation and Edition Oddities
thread and has *nothing* to do with the France sourcebook. I don't even
begin to understand how so many people on this list heard about it.
If you need info on Sr France, ask me. I'll try my best to help but
don't hold your breath because I'll be out of the country and thus off-line
for the next two weeks.

A merry winter solstice to you all,

Anjo Verde
