You only haveto percieve for centering to improve spellcasting
("centering for succeses") as notedunder "centering and spellcasting".
"Centering Vs. Drain" and "Centering vs. Penalties" do not mention
astral perception, and are noted as being usable by ALL adept types.
Centering and spellcasting specifically notes that the mage is
keeping a closeeye on the spells enegies, although s/he is not
distracted re astral combat etc.
Yeah, sorcery adepts get slightly less potent spells from centering,
but they usaully make it up in other ways, and are safer from a-space to
boot. The centering they can use is still pretty damn good.
