A *newsgroup* might not. This, however, is a mailing list. All of us
have a common interest: Shadowrun. Everything else is off-topic. If
it's off topic, the freedom of speech is moot- I believe the quote is
"Yelling 'Fire!' in a movie theater isn't free speech."
It's not a matter of censorship(at least, not yet). It's a matter of
keeping the common interest, and not flooding everyone's mailbox with
something they don't want to hear, something they don't need to hear,
and something they didn't expect to hear when they subscribed to this
list.
I agree a newsgroup would be less demanding, so take it there.
Better yet, take it to the *appropriate* newsgroup.
Freedom of Speech(which I am very fond of) has a price, and that
price is responsibility.
If USA Today put "ROB IS MORON" in it's headlines, sure it'd be free
speech- but it also wouldn't be responsible, reliable, or relivant. (Not
saying your a moron, just using you as an example to drive the point
home).
Now that I've posted off topic anyway- kiss my first
amendment-hugging hoop! :)
