I gather that the trouble with maces in practice is that the
chance of injuring yourself is much higher than with sowrds,
etc. That's why you find so many of them hanging up on walls
in ancestral homes, in good condition - people used them once,
then said `F***! That's the last time I try that!'

Maybe if you roll more failures than successes, it should be
a `hit self' type fumble.

BTW: we added a local rule that doubled the chance of fumbles
in our games - if the majority of the dice come up ones, that's
a fumble (so the chance for a skill 6 person fumbling went
from 1 in 46,656 to 1 in 25000 or so).
