Ahm, well.... The insect spirits are the same. A number of Dragons and
elves appear in both. The elves speak the same languages, etc. etc.
There are dozens of cross-references including Harlequin talking to
a Passion in a Short Story, etc.

FASA has made it abudantly clear that Earthdawn is set in the SR
pre-history, although they have backed away from having too many
ED references appear in SR. In particuliar, the SR players threw
a complete fit about having the Horrors show up, so they've backed
away from that aspect in a big way.

I will, however, assume that BTech is in a different universe. :-)

Heh...

During the "What's Up With FASA" seminar, each of the heads of the FASA
lines (Lou, Mike, and Bryan (The BT guy:)) were talking about upcoming
products and fielding some questions.

Mike commented that there was a secret SR product coming out, and that
there were going to be rules for Bi-Pedal drones in RBB2. Then Bryan was
talking about a new major plot twist for BT, so me and Loki (Who were
h3eckling the poor guys teh entire seminar:)) asked if the new big surprise
was an SR-BT link. bryan laughed and said "Yup. Their going to bring
magic back with the Great Ghost Bear Dance, and Kerensky is really harlequin."

<grin>

Fortunately, he was kidding... But it WAS funny...;]

I am uncertain it is all -THAT- funny. Especially since Bryan responded in
"SR Game Terms" so quickly.
