balance. If you want a more realistic essence cost for oh, say a targeting
computer (after all, it is just another circuit board), than feel free to
do so. The catch is that in reality, high tech stuff that's nice and neat
and compact enough for implantation is $$expensive$$. That's right! It may
be a simple set of VLSI chips with a miniaturized data/address bus that is
really no larger than a small headware memory unit, but having a more complex
control structure, but you can bet that It'll be expensive. You can lower
the essence cost, but can maintain game balance by limiting the availability
of reduced essence cost cyberware by making it *very* expensive and difficult
to find. Just an idea.
>>>>>>>>>[ My buddy Biggs managed to get his hands on a
high end
targeting computer that was minimally intrusive. He had
to travel out to this underground research facility in
Japan, and they charged him over 500,000 Y for the job.
He insists that he got his money's worth, but he had to
hock his whole gun collection for the job! Now he's broke
and out of work, but he's got a kicking targeting system.
Too bad he doesn't have any guns to use it with anymore!
What a butthead! ]<<<<<<<<<
