Forwarded to Run instead of Plot-D becaue the technical stuff in the

the past 72. . .

Ah, but they don't perform unethical experimentss, gouge prices, or cheat
on their taxes. Nor do they steal and kidnap information and technology
from other corps; they develop it jointly or on their own. Am I right, Rob?

Okay -- the first three I can handle. The 'last' -- steal/kidnapping
info and technology from other corporations is, rather effectively in
the SR universe, a quick way to being absorbed by another corp. Or so,
I seemed to absorb, from the Corporate Shadowfiles...

Hmm. Rob, where'd YT fit in -- second tier, first tier, full
Megacorp??

I'm not sure on the 'tiers' as I dont' have that sourcebook yet.

They are a fairly large corp. Intrests exist in cybertechnology,
biotechnology, AI research, some securities, most other new tech. They
have holdings world-wide, but with concentrations in the Seattle area.

A lot of people seem to be very Thwap-conscious today. At least 20% of the
messages I've read so far say something like "no thwap please" or "please,
don't everyone thwap me at once".

What does this say about our society?!!!

That the thwap has lost its light-hearted meaning by arbitray and
over-zealous use by people who lack imagination.

It should be pointed out at this particular juncture that merely by requesting
that one not be bombarded with a shower of wet carps does not guarantee that
said desire shall take place. This is for two reasons: 1) Similar to the
pleas for not being denoted as Munchkins, excessive or incessent pleading for
no thwaps shall, in inself, often engender exactly the eventuality which the
original poster sought to avoid. 2) Some ideas, despite the author's
sincerest claims to the contrary, are simply thwap worthy. They should and
shall be thwapped.

As to what it says about society...perhaps hyper-sensitivity? Alternatively,
we could engage upon a decidedly Freudian tangent, devling into the supposed
subconscious thoughts of those who so vehemently state their desire not to be
struck with the Venerable Wet Carp.

Further, I could proceed from a Historical Supposition (tm), embracing the
contemporary circumstances, such that the event would be played out
hypothetically in a past referent...although I beleive that would raise the
ire of my compatriots.

This is a sad example of what happens when good carp go bad.
There are too many young punks on the streets today with a saturday-morning
special fresh off the boats down at fisherman's terminal. Thwapping runs
rampant in the SeaTac Metroplex.

One student here was shocked and appaled that such a thing could happen at the
University of Puget Sound. "I am shocked and appaled that shuch a thing could
happen at the University of Puget Sound," said an unnamed source. "Why, it gets
my boxers in a bunch just thinking about it."

But remember, citizens. Once you outlaw carp, only outlaws will have carps.
But that includes most of us, so we're back to square one.
What if we supply everyone with Nerf carp, so nobody gets hurt?
Sound of getting hit by a Nerf Carp: **THWAfoof**

"Hey, BF!"

You mean to say that it could result in the renaming your internal organs as
_external_ organs? *toothy grin* Not me -- I'm defaulting from Bike to Look
