Got a Q....Has anyone worked on a method to install gas vents with sound
suppressors or silencers? They both need use a barrell mount, but today it
is conceivable to get recoil comp. and sound suppression at the same time,
right?

I would say that the only way you could use both at once would be a
combined Gasvent/Suppressor...I don't really know, however.

Apart from anything else, a suppressor is a good muzzle weight and helps
to stabilise the weapon.

I allow gas vents and suppressors (not silencers) to be combined, at
double cost for both and at a penalty of -1 to one's performance (e.g. a
suppressor/gas vent 4 combo would cost Y3,500 and provide either
standard suppression (+2 to the Perception roll to hear it) and 3pts
recoil compensation, or +1 to Perception and 4pts compensation.

Balances reasonably well and makes suppressed SMGs playable, but not
excessive.
