Well, I sent in my money and everything 2 days ago, and anxiously await
word for Hotel Confirmation and Game confirmation...:] I HATE waiting... :]

Anyways, I was thinking, we really should see about making plans to meet
somewhere at the con at certain times, so that everyone can kind of meet
each other from the list... After all, few of us know what the rest of you
all look like, so...;] the cahcnes opf us meeting up during a game or
randomly at the con are slim, especially if we use our real names tehre,
and don;t here on the list...:]

So... Why don;t we try this...

Informal list meetings scheduled at the FASA Booth (Face it, we'll all end
up there re[peatedly over the weekend anyways) at:

Thursday: Noon, 4PM, and 8PM (At the beginning of each time slot)
Friday: Noon, 4PM, and 8PM
Saturday: NOON

By that point, hopefully everyone will be at the con, and will have managed
to hook up with everyone that they want to meet...

We should try and plan some sort of List party somewhere, for after we
leave the Con one night... Though for me, and most of you, hopefully we'll
have the 8 to midnight slot filled Thursday, Friday, and Saturday as we
play in Granites game...:] But after midnight we're probably cool for a
get together/party/impromptu game/etc...

Well, just some suggestions, I suppose... Feel free to reply, ignore, or
whatever...;]

The only problem that -I- personally would have is a place to stay...I think
I have that weekend extended from work, and would love to go...but no one to
stay with (hate not having a credit card sometimes)...

Sounds like I'll be busy at those times..Let's try an off slot time
period to meet there....

The only times I know Caric and I will be tied up for sure are:
Secrets of Shadowrun: Friday 10am-12pm
Shadowrun Q&A: Sunday 12pm-2pm
What's Up with FASA: Thurday 2pm-4pm

Then we signed up to hopefully get in on Granite's game, "Drive in the
Country" Thu-Sat 8pm-Midnite. (Alternate choice is "To Serve and
Protect" Thu-Fri 4pm-8pm.)

Other than that, well just be blowing generic tickets on other games
and doing the general browsing/wandering, so we should hopefully be
able to connect somewhere in the midst of it all.

It might not be a bad idea when we do get hotel confirmations to let
the others know where we're staying. We could get in contact that way,
if all else fails.

Definitely! It'll probably be easier to get more of us together at an
off time. Perhaps "after-hours" for a game, or maybe with some plans
we could get the group together to meet for breakfast before hitting
the 'Con. Caric's been hinting I should bring a basic set from my GM's
library, should I get a chance to through an impromptu game together.

Ok I agree with everything except the times. If we need to be somewhere

Hey Mike, remember that we've got the WW party to hit, too and maybe TSR's
party won't suck this year now that WotC is in control. As for the
Safehouse, sometimes it's good to be in a place that's packed solid...
sitting in a near-empty bar makes me feel like a lush ;^D

For those of you interested in White Wolf games, be sure to check out the
free demo games at their booth (I'm pretty sure they're free again this
year). The demos are "first come, first serve" and come in 2 and 4 hour
blocks so check in often to get signed up for the games you're interested in...

Yep, they're free. Hey (to bring this into line with Sr) will FASA be
running those free demo's of Sr, Earthdawn and Battletech again? I didn't
notice anything in the booklet, and even though they're supposed to be for
newbies, I want to try playing a game with the cool models they use.

Yup...

Shadowrun Demo, by Ariston Productions, will be running in the 2, 6, 10,
and 13 slots...

Welcome to the 6th World, by FASA, will run in the 6, 7, 10, 11 slots.

Earthdawn Demo, by Ariston Prod., running in the 2-3, 6-7, 10-11, and 13-14
slots...

Enter the Age of Legend, FASA, in the 6, 7, 10, 11 slots...

BattleTech Demo, Ariston, 2-3a slot, 6-7a, 10-11a, and 13-14a slots...:]

(There are also a couple cool looking BT games for your BT fans... One in
the ARENA using giant mech mini's called Macrotures, and another called
Toytech using the Tyco BT Toys...:] )

Other than that, I know Mike is planning to spend most o the weekend
demoing the SR CCG, which will be free, and there might be free demo's of
the BT card game, though whether that will be at the FASA booth or the WOTC
booth, or both, I don;t know...

There's a couple for Shadowrun listed in the convention guide. Caric
and I were planning on hitting one or two, to have some fun with the
newbies (and maybe get some rules clarifications. :o)

Shadowrun Demo (Free): Thursday 12pm-4pm, Friday 12pm-4pm, Saturday
12pm-4pm, Sunday 8am-12pm.

Welcome to the Sixth World! (Free): Friday 12pm-4pm & 4pm-8pm,
Saturday 12pm-4pm & 4pm-8pm.
