I'll be there, although not at the FanPro booth like the past couple years.
I'll almost certainly be at the What's Up with Shadowrun? seminar, though,
and at the Guardians of Order booth.

If someone shows up and tapes them, sure. I have no personal interest in
doing so anymore.

When did you start working for them? I never noticed your name in any of

November 2002. The first book I worked on - Uresia: Grave of Heaven - is
due out around the end of this month.

Technically, it was just "Gen Con" until this year. There was also Gen Con
UK, and I believe another in Europe somewhere, but the Wisconsin con was
the main Gen Con (MIlwaukee was actually the 3rd location to host Gen Con :))

With the sale to Peter Adkins and the move away from Milwaukee, they have
decided to hold two US Gen Con's... One in Indianapolis and one in Sother
California, thus the designators on the Gen Con name now :]

Not yet. Look for that in a month or two. But likely there will be around
a dozen 4 hour one shot games, a 3-day tournament event, and demo's galore.

Yep, but with it being in Indianapolis, Indiana it's WAY more central
then Wisconsin, and should attract more people. Plus there is like 160
hotels within 10miles of Indianapolis. Unlike Milwaukee :)

I think it's being called that because it's held in Indiana this year,
rather than the traditional Wisconsin. (Unless I'm mistaken about the year
in which it will move, that is.)

Assuming a crowd which stays all 4 days is no more than 30k, they
should all be able to stay within the downtown area. Assuming that
they are willing to pay a little more for a room. Otherwise, the city
has several dozen other hotels to stay at. I live just outside Indy,
but I've got a room at the Westin. Good bar, good restaurant (Don
Shula's) and right across the street from the convention center.

Best part of GenCon being in Indy, a convention center that is an order
of magnitude larger than the Midwest Express Center in Milwaukee. All
events, one building.

Unless they also changed the dates when they changed venues, I assume it's in
early August.

It's not San Francisco. IIRC, it's in San Diego (unless that was changed). About as far
away from me as they could make it and still keep it in the same state. :)

Ok, so we have Anaheim, San Fran, and San Diego. We also have times for
December and August.

Can I get a confirmation please? (Remember I'm the guy that's blocked from
having Net access).

I want to attend at least one con while I'm young.

According to the GenCon web page the actual location and date are yet to be
determined, other than that it will be in Southern California.
