Just so everyone knows, I do have Windows Media Player movies up on HHH that
contain the Secrets' of Shadowrun seminar, as well as the What's Up with
FASA seminar from this year's Gencon. I apologize for not having Quicktime
options available, but Quicktimes movie convertors cost me cash I don't have
and WMP/Microsoft's stuff is all free. I'm also still working on the
Review/Commentary Photograph sections, but with the number of pictures I've
got (Dvixen may have more, not sure...), its taking me a while to go through
and fill out all that stuff. Hopefully by the end of the weekend I'll have
it all done (shrug).

Oh, and for people that are using Lynx (and other strictly UNIX browsers),
yes, you should expect problems.

This is all under the EVENTS section (Gencon 2000) of the website. The
movies are big, and I mean BIG. I broke them up into 10 minute sections to
help with the downloading. For those people with broadband access (Cable,
DSL, T1+) there are higher quality things view and listen to (the audio is
good, but isn't loud ... we'll have better sound equipment next year).

On a related note, if anyone has an MP3 convertor program they can point me
to that won't cost me anything (or at least is very cheap), I will gladly
pull the audio from the original AVI's to help more people out in getting to
stuff. Adam was working on stuff, but I don't know if he ever got what he
needed from the old HHH site.

I have like 50 or so SR pics I collected, most of character, some of guns,
some of bikes, etc. all are very nice IMHO. I can FTP you it or something,
as I don't want to email it, It's 3.5Mb .zipped

There's instructions on the kind of stuff of you search for "DivX FAQ" -
It's a DVD Ripping (pirating) format which in order to do, requires exctly
that kind of stuff, getting .mp3s out, etc. The FAQ explains which programs
to use and how to use them.

LOL! Yes, I would expect problems when viewing pictures with Lynx... :)

QuickTime can do all that. The trick is, you'll need 2.5, since 3+ co$t$
$30. I could do it, but I don't have a broadband connection, and my Mac is 5
years old and only 66 MHz.

If it's just audio, soundapp can do it free & elegantly. Mac only, though,
AFAIK.

It does a whole lot more than that actually ... and it seems there is a
significant chance we will be puchasing here in the next few days for the
stuff we have already. No promises, but we are getting there.

What I did find interesting was Apple/Quicktime stuff you still have to buy
all of, but the Microsoft/Windows stuff is free for download off of their
website.

You can use QT for Macs *or* WinDOS without paying (Viewing only), but if
you want to use it to *create*, you have to pay, or you can just keep an old
copy of the MoviePlayer app around, which works just fine.

Except for those restricting people who use machines with Linux/Lynx or
something similar.

Quicktime Player can handle AVI's, so that shouldn't be a problem. If you
have access to a Mac (Even an old 68K one), SoundApp (free) can convert to
MP3.

If I had a MAC, I would thank you greatly. But I don't (and no offense, I
do not want one). But we should see some significant progress over the next
few days.

Thank Andy for looking around though, I appreciate it.
