I was sort of joking. Ive been to 5 GenCons already and usualy
end up spending more each year. I always go in with good intentions but
then you see one of those things you have been looking for for 3 years and
well ... Good advice though for those going up for the first time. Ill try
the note taking aproch this year. probaly save myself a good bit plus get
all those things i see once then cant find after i go get cash ...

Laf. I live in the Chicago suburbs (the reason i can make it to
so many GenCons. its only a 3 hour drive:)) and have played at the
BattleTech Center since before it was bought by VWE. Definatly cool but
the prices got to high for a HS\College students buget. Last i heard it
was about 7$ for 10 Minutes of play time. adds up in a hurry. ya know i
need to go find the FASA offices one of these days since i live so close.
