Well I personally lament the fact that I do not play gender that well.

I mean - The guys in my group are more often in the spotlight and I
really don't play the women well. I am trying to get a little better at it.

Oh - I have met nice girls that like to Kill - well atleast be really nasty.

My friend Jenn back at my old school was very nice - but she liked to
do saber fencing sometimes because she wanted to hurt something, or somebody.
But she was really sweet - and gave great back rubs too.

Dan.

I know that feeling. :)

I've also know women who like to be tough. What I've discovered is that the
same traits that I find annoying in mean are equally annoying in women who
exhibit them.

Please don't get me wrong about Jenn, she was definatley female and definately
feminen. But some times she would just say "I NEED to do epee or saber
tonight" those where the times when I cringed. I was better than her in
either, but when she hit - she had no remorse. She also tended to hit more on
those nights.

The most amusing female though is called Patty. She is the sweetest most
harmless person I know. She looks like she is 12 - 14, she is a substitute
elementary school teacher - which makes for a lot of fun when people mistake her
for one of the kids. She is married to a guy called Paul, who is a rather
strong and dangerous guy - he once punched 90 degrees right (straight out not
forward) into a SOLID brick wall instead of forward into the guys face. He
didn't fell like coming up on murder charges. The wall broke.
The amusing thing is that she will BEAT, and I mean BEAT!!, on him if he
misbehaves or makes an off color comment (like mauve). Of course - she really
can't hurt him - it like you getting beat upon by a 10 year old - it don't
really hurt.

Dan
Of course - I have never met anybody who really LIKES to kill and is nice and
has done it.

Pound for pound, I would place my money on a woman being able to beat the
living shit out of a man.

Of course, I'll place more money on a troll...

I got my first attempt at playing a female
char. in (gah!) AD_D. Next came Robotech and Rifts.
Now I'm doing it in SRun. It gets easier as A) You
get older B) You get used to it. Currently I am
playing three characters (Not all at once).
Harlequin (elven sam/decker)
She-is-Hard-to-Catch (Female raccoon shaman)
and Sabre (Female elven sam).
If you ask the guys in my group, they'd tell you it adds
a new twist to the story. One other member of the group
plays a female and he is a riot to watch.
Anyway, Sabre is Harlie's half sister. She's really a
decent elf except when the racial and gender slurs come her
way.
Hard-to-Catch is different. She's Harlie's girlfriend. Whats
worse is she acts like a ditz. But its only an act. She figures
that people will underestimate her that way, and it gives her an
edge. The look on the riggers face when he fail a BS roll to
con the Border Guard and T.C. stepped up and handed the guard a
similar line (she has low ett. but high Char. and rolls well)
and he took it. The Rigger nearly choked he was so upset. How
could this ditz to such things?
It makes for some of the best role-playing around.
Harlequin
aka Michael Knabusch
(P.S. Only T.C.'s closest friends know she isn't a ditz.
Which makes it that musch more fun when she shows her smarts
to the ones who don't know.)
