I enjoy running female characters. Or aliens. Anything significantly
different from what I actually am. That's my idea opf roleplaying. If I can,
I model a female character after a real woman I know. Helps to avoid
stereotypes. I've also run games where 'gender benders' were done well.
But I've seen it done poorly as well. It's a real challenge, and not
one every roleplayer is up to.

I always thought that 'Samurai' was an inappropriate term for a
shadowrunner. Part of the orignal samurai's code was absolute obedience to
one's feudal overlord. The SR equivelent would be Company Men, and other
corp security types. 'Ronin' (masterless warrior) is a better term for a
shadowrunner.
Still, the idea of shadowrunners having a code of honor. I've
always played it that way. For some, of course, the nuyen will always be
the bottom line. But they aren't the ones urban legends are made of.

BTW, what's with the listserv? I'm getting all the messages out of order
