Hi everyone, I'm back. Hope you all had a good summer if you're back from
holidays (I'm not, I just have internet access at my job.
Anyway, here's a question for you all:
One of my players is a mage with a quickened Increase Body +4 spell.
1) For the Turn To spells, assuming that you follow the guidelines about it
being within 2 points of the Body rating, do you use the natural rating or
the augmented one. I ruled that the Body spell did not change the
character's inherent mass and he would therefore use the natural one.
2) Security Armour which uses the Body Rating to calculate it's weight; can
the same one be used after an Increase Body spell and would it affect the
weeight. Again, I ruled that because the spell only altered physical
resistance by enhancing it magically rather than magically produce steroid
effects, the original armour could be used and it woudld weigh the same as
before (i.e it would use the natural rating)
What are your thoughts on this, folks?

I would also rule this way.

Likewise.

Similar problems are encountered in the jumping rules in FoF. They say
something along the lines of you can jump str-bod meters per success (or some
multiple of that). Here again I would use natural body.

What about cyber body modifiers? Like those from dermal armour, or orthoskin,
or bone lacing? I would tend to rule the same with these too, and use the
natural stat. We then have a problem with bioware such as the suprathyroid
which (I think) increases your body stat. Here I don't so much know...
