Hi to the List:

I don't understand what the Matrix is supposed to look
like-in game terms.(I understand that icons can look
like anything their creator wants them to-this is not
what I'm asking).

Is there a book or website where there are generic
Matrix Location Diagrams?

Example 1: What does "Stuffer Shack" look like in the
matrix in game terms( Security Rating, ACIFS)?Is there
some kind of a "tree" diagram?

Example 2: What does your average Corp's Matrix Site
look like in game terms( Security Rating, ACIFS)? Is
therte some kind of a "tree" diagram?

If these things do NOT exist, how do you create a Corp
Matrix Site for a Decker to "attack"?

Thank You

The book you are looking for is "TARGET: MATRIX" which was put out by FASA
Corporation last year/last fall. I believe it is purchasable from the
FanPro website, but not certain (haven't purchased anything since
FanPro/WizKids/FASA did the big switch-thingie except for YOTC, and that was
a fluke). The book "MATRIX" by FASA also contains important information,
but the stuff you are really wanting can be found in the first book I
mentioned.

There will probably be some web sites with generic or specific Matrix hosts
on them, I'm sure. However, the best way to generate the game stats is to
sit down and ask yourself what the system should be doing, and how that
would be protected. You can use the random host generation system from
Matrix if you want to do this more quickly, or you can decide on everything
by yourself.

Since a Stuffer Shack wouldn't have much important stuff to hide, and in
fact would probably have an on-line inventory (so that customers can check
from their home whether the things they want are still in stock) I'd say
this would be an easy blue host, maybe with a hard green or average orange
one behind it for things like bookkeeping and other stuff the general
public isn't supposed to look at.

This would be a bit harder; probably again an easy blue host as the public
"web site" where the corp advertises its stuff, with one or more green,
orange, and probably one red hosts sitting behind it that are off-limits to
everyone except the corp's employees.

By using the random generation tables in Matrix, on pages 112 through 116
(and the paydata stuff on pages 49-51). These will let you roll up a Matrix
host with fairly little effort, and though it might not be tailored to your
specific needs it will at least give you a starting point.
