started to crash my IE 3.01 browser...
Damn them.
To put this on topic (and to cover my rear end) is this not a step into the 6th
World? I mean, one would assume all public dataspace (if there is such a
thing) in Shadowrun would be censored, secure, lock, stock, and barrel, and
all the companies probably scan the useless stores for real prodigies. Gives
me an idea for an adventure...
The runners are hired by Corp. A to copy and delete obscure public data on
Corp. B's public dataspace so that Corp. A can "steal" the data and use it
as blackmail on Corp. B. In reality, Corp. B already knows about the data, and
has modified it. When the runners take it, they're targeted by B and can't
satisfy A with crappy data, so they may think that they have the wrong data
or they may think that A is doublecrossing them.
