All of *that* would depend on the descriptions of something else. Give me
the "north" differences, and we'll talk. Please remember folks, that the
poles' have *switched* once in the time frame-range being mentioned.

Both would probably give me a better set of solution possibilities.

My point is that the geographical poles have not switched in the intervening
years. Unless the planet flipped upside down and I missed it. Which isn't
very likely.

No, ED's north and south are the same as ours, and Barsaive is the lower
Russian landmass between the Caspian and Black Seas. That should fix any
geography problems you might have.

Actually, given certain changes that *may* have happened, there could have
been changes to the geographic centrality of the place. No, I agree that it
isn't likely and there'd be proof all over the place (probably).

Ever actually have a map of Barsaive and turn it so that north is west and
see what happens?

There is a map of the Theran Empire in the the Theran Empire sourcebook.
It is unambigously a map of Eurasia and northen Africa. Supposedly it was
produced by the library of Throal, so it has some minor variences- much less
than real historic maps, however. Rotating it just makes it a sideways map
of Eurasia. "Thera" is in fact the island "Thera", a real island that
was
mostly destroyed by volcanic activity. Certainly, there are some very odd
pehnomina (Theran builings being near duplicates of certain famous
structures that are now-days elswhere), but those are more easily explained
by histrical change than geo-astrological change.

Or, it would be the island of Thera (Santorina?) off of the Greek coast.
Also note, in teh Thera sourcebook, there is a map of Europe.

And Thera *DID* blow up between five and six thousand years ago, IIRC......

Now that I understand. Yes, that's possible.

Ah, no. Now that I have a copy of the ED main book [yea!] I can do so. What,
exactly, am I looking for?

What,

If you find a copy of ... JRR Tolkein's books, there's a map inside one of
them as well. *Now* make a comparison. Things are downright silly, or so
I've been told.
